Keep your audience informed with push notifications during your virtual event

Send push notifications to your attendees while they are in the session, communicating any relevant information or offers to your audience quickly and efficiently

The event admin is only available for channels with an event license. For more information contact your BigMarker Customer Success Manager or sales@bigmarker.com

During your live event, you may want to give your virtual attendees important information on upcoming sessions or other activities of the event. By using the Notification settings in the event admin dashboard  you can create, send and schedule messages to send to everyone in attendance.

With each notification, you can customize the copy, design and where users are directed to. When a notification is sent, everyone who is currently on an event landing page or webinar room will be able to see it and interact with it.

How to Create On-Screen Push Notifications

After creating your event visit the dashboard and look for the Notifications section from the left navigation. Here is where you'll be able to manage all of your messages.

From there, you can add new notifications, manage existing notifications, manually send notifications to attendees and associate the notifications with a particular series. Click Manage or Add New Notification to add a new notification. Either button will direct you to an editor, where you can add and edit the TitleSub-TitleCall To Action Text and Call To Action Link for each notification.

Once you have your notification, schedule it to send or manually send it at any time.

Determine what attendees see the notification

Look for the settings in the notifications page to add a series or modules to this list. Once you add them here, they'll be available for you to choose when configuring a single notification. Then these messages will be shown to any registrants who are currently on those landing pages.

Additionally, you'll find a setting for Share notification inside associated webinar(s). Enable this to have any notifications also show up inside of the webinar rooms of the agendas and expo halls you add here.

Sending Push notifications through the mobile app

If your event is utilizing the Companion App then you have the ability to send push notifications directly to the device of anyone with the app. One unique aspect of these notifications is that you are able to determine which list of registrants would receive the notification, letting you fully customize each segment of your communication.

Only the Content text will be shown to users. If you want users to be send to the app after tapping on the notification on their phones, simply leave the CTA Link field blank
