Recurring webinars are live, on-demand, and automated webinars that are set to happen on a recurring basis. They let your attendees, old and new, attend the sessions and view the same presentation time and time again.
Update: you can now do the following with recurring webinars:
Recurring webinars are live, on-demand, and automated webinars that are set to happen on a recurring basis. Let’s say you are running a webinar for product training that you’d like to have recur at the same time on Mondays, every week for a month. You can set a webinar to happen on that specific day and time, whether it be an on-demand recording or a live session.
You can set your recurring webinars to specific times and dates, or on a cadence basis such as daily, weekly or monthly. Either way you set them up, they let your attendees, old and new, attend the sessions and get the same great presentation time and time again.
How to Set up Your Recurring Webinar
Note: Daily, Weekly and Monthly cadences are only available for Virtual Events and Enterprise plan holders. Please contact our Sales team at Sales@bigmarker.com to learn more.
1. Create a live or automated webinar
2. Under When? choose Recurring
3. Under Cadence, select Specific Dates for the recurring webinar to happen on select dates. Under Add dates, enter the date, time and length for each recurring webinar
- Click Add New Time to add more dates
6. For a recurring webinar to happen consecutively, set the Cadence to daily, weekly or monthly
- Daily: same time every day. Adjust the start and end dates and select the start time and length for the webinar.
- Weekly: same time every week. Select which days and dates the webinar starts and ends on. Set the start time and length of the webinar
- Monthly: same time every month. Set the frequency and days it will occur during the month, as well as the start and end dates. Finally, set the start time and length of the webinar.
7. Click Create Webinar
From there, you will proceed to set up the settings for the rest of the webinars. With recurring webinars, registrants will have a confirmation email sent that gives them their personalized URL for the individual webinar within the recurring webinar they have registered for. They will simply need to revisit this email and click their personalized URL to enter your webinar. Furthermore, they will need to register for the webinars individually to enter each session. If you want people to use one link for a "series" of webinars, you will need to create a series.
For admins, you are able to manage all your registrant information in the main recurring webinar. The main webinar will also contain settings and information that will be shared across all the individual sessions, including pre-loaded content, automation settings, presenter list and more.
Unique settings for recurring webinars
While recurring webinars take most of their settings from the Main Webinar, you to have the ability to customize individual sessions. If you'd like to keep your presenters consistent across all of your recurring webinars, no action is needed, since the presenters will default to the Main Webinar settings. But if you would like to have guest presenters on a specific session, or remove presenters from a session, here's how you can do it:
In the dashboard of the Main Webinar, scroll down to find your Recurring Webinar Settings and select Recurring Settings. Clicking on this will open up a new set of settings.
From here, select Customize presenters per session. Once selected, you can customize the presenter in the individual webinars. Manage recurring webinar title allows you to customize the titles for each session as well.
Important: when you make any changes to the title or presenters of an individual session, that session will always be unique. This means that any changes made to the Main Webinar will no long take affect in any unique sessions.
Choose an official recording
Recurring webinars are powerful, but it can be difficult to manage all of the recordings. Once your recurring webinar has at least one recorded on-demand session, you are able to specify which session will act as the official recording. Doing so will accomplish two things:
- If someone registers for a session that has now ended, their personal link will redirect them to the official recording
- If there are no upcoming sessions remaining, the recurring webinar essentially turns into an on-demand webinar using the official recording
