Streamline the hosting process by allowing admins to take presenters on and off stage without spending several seconds turning on their mics and camera
The auto prompt presenter multimedia permissions feature streamlines the hosting process by allowing admins to take presenters on and off stage without spending several seconds turning on their mics and camera every time. This is especially useful for panel discussions and interviews, during which you will likely transition between speakers often.
Once auto prompt is activated, admins can turn their presenters’ mics and cameras on and off with one click, even if the presenter has been taken offstage. Learn how to activate this feature below.
Note: This feature is available for enterprise and virtual event customers only.
Log into your webinar and select the Edit tab. In the left-hand menu that appears, select Advanced Settings.
Scroll down to Auto prompt camera and mic permission from presenters on enter. By default, this feature is disabled. Click enable to activate it for your webinar.
As the presenter enters the webinar, they will be asked to share their microphones and camera via a prompt from their browser URL. The presenter should press Allow to grant BigMarker permission to use their camera and microphone.
This way, when the presenter enters the webinar room, you (as the admin) will be able to turn their camera and microphone on or off, just by clicking the microphone and camera icons next to their names in the Admin Control Panel (the black box on the right side of your screen).
If the presenter’s mic and webcam are off when they enter the room, you can request to activate them by pressing the microphone or camera icons next to their name in the Admin Control Panel. (The microphone icon turns only the mic on, the camera icon turns both microphone and camera on.)
The presenter will receive the following pop-up, prompting them to allow you to turn on their mic and/or webcam. If the presenter presses Allow, they will be able to use their microphone and/or webcam.
Once this feature is activated, you can disable and reactivate their microphone and webcam by clicking the respective mic and camera icon. (The icon will turn green when the mic and camera are active. It will turn red when those functions are disabled/muted.)
Even if you take that presenter offstage, you’ll be able to reactivate their microphone and camera with one click once they’re brought back onstage.
You can also take control of your presenters’ microphone and audio at any time by pressing the three dots next to their name, then Take Control.
You will receive the following pop-up. Use the toggles below to activate or disable the presenter's microphone and camera, respectively.
