Individually control what access each presenter has to content and settings during a live presentation.
When adding presenters to your webinar, you can now customize their permissions within the live webinar room. This feature allows you to tailor each presenter’s capabilities, enabling them to concentrate on their specific roles. For instance, you can restrict a presenter from altering the video or screenshare, or designate someone solely for chat moderation.
Regardless of how the settings shown here are changed, channel admins and hosts will always have all access to the content management in the live room.
First, navigate to the presenter section of the webinar dashboard. Under each presenter, you'll now see a new setting for "Presenter Permissions." Click on this to view the permissions for that specific presenter.
You'll see a new menu open up where you can change these settings. The first setting at the top is for "Advanced Presenter Permission Control." By default this is disabled. When this is disabled, then the presenter will have access to all the settings within the webinar room unless they have been disabled on the main dashboard.
When the setting for "Advanced Presenter Permission Control" is off, all other settings in this menu are disabled.
Once you turn on this first setting, the rest of the permissions will be available to customize. With these settings, you'll be able to control whether or not a presenter has access to:
- Share their microphone or camera
- Share their screen
- Control video and audio playback and uploading
- Manage files and slides
- Switch between different views using the content navigation tab
- Enable a secondary camera
In addition to these content settings, you can also control if a presenter can start or end the webinar, as well as if you want to limit an admin from downloading webinar reports.
With these settings updated, the presenter view for this individual will be updated based on what has been turned off. Look below for an example of a presenter who has the camera and microphone permission disabled, and only has the ability to share a slide presentation.
