Webcam Failed to connect: What to Do Next

Reconnect and get up and running as a presenter

If you are having issues connecting your camera to BigMarker there are a number of steps you can take to get back up to speed. These steps will cover a variety of different issues, and it's important to start with the basics first:

  • Use the system check page to check your devices and your connection 
  • Ensure your camera is connected
  • Close any other programs that may be using your camera
  • Check that you gave your web browser permission to use the camera
If you have already opened the studio while taking any of these steps, it's never a bad idea to refresh the BigMarker page before trying to connect again. If these steps don't fix your issue then you can try to take the following measures:
  • Try restarting your browser and computer
  • External cameras may have additional and software and drivers that need to be managed.  Check that these are up to date and not interfering with the camera
