Essential best practices for pre-webinar prep and live session success.
As the host, you can enter your webinar room ahead of the scheduled start time to set up, test your equipment, and get comfortable with the platform. Entering early allows you to preload content, check your audio and video, and prepare for a smooth, professional presentation. This article outlines when you can access your webinar and best practices to follow before going live.
Presenters and hosts can enter up to 6 hours before the start time. You cannot enter before then as the room doesn't exist until it opens. To edit this setting, navigate to Advanced Settings under the Edit tab of your webinar. Change the dropdown menu under Presenter Preparation Time to fit your desired preparation schedule.
Please review our Presenter's Guide before each webinar. If your server takes longer than five minutes after the preparation start time to initialize, try refreshing the page. If the webinar still is not initializing don't hesitate to contact support@bigmarker.com
Presenters can decide whether to let attendees in automatically or ask for permission before entering the room. You can also find this setting in the Edit section of your webinar dashboard under Privacy.
When using the Waiting Room feature, attendees can enter at the scheduled start time or in increments of 5, 10, or 15 minutes before the webinar start time. You can allow the webinar room to open automatically at the scheduled time, or disable the feature to open the webinar room manually, at your leisure.
