Distribute handouts as PDFs or provide an external link to these assets. This gives you more control over how you share, design and evaluate the success of the marketing materials for your event.
In this article, learn how to upload handouts as external links to your live and on-demand webinars. External handout links are available for all webinar types, but for the sake of brevity we will only cover live and on-demand webinars here.
Note: Live webinars and on-demand webinars can be saved as reusable webinar templates. So if you choose to create a template of your session, any handouts you create will also be copied to the template. Learn more about live templates here.
How to Upload Handouts To An On-Demand Webinar
Hosts of on-demand webinars can add handouts to their sessions by uploading them to the video players. Follow these steps to upload your on-demand handout:
1. Log in to your on-demand webinar and select Manage Webinar. Staying in this tab, scroll down to Manage Recording and click Edit Player.
2. In the Edit Player window, select the Handouts section, located on the left hand side of the page.
3. In the Handouts menu, select Share a Link.
From there, use the subsequent prompts to design and customize your handout:
4. Handout Name: Enter a title for the handout here.
5. Handout Link: Enter the link to your handout here.
6. Handout Icon: Upload a custom image to display next to the name of the handout.
7. Press Save to make your Handout Link instantly accessible. You can also select a certain time-code to make the handout available to attendees as well.

How to Pre-Load Handouts In A Live Event
Hosts can pre-load handouts to their live webinars, following these steps.
1. Log in to your live event and select Manage Webinar
2. Under Pre Upload, select Handouts.
3. In the Handouts menu, select Share a Link
From there, use the subsequent prompts to design and customize your handout:

5. Handout Link: Enter the link to your handout here.
6. Handout Icon: Upload an image to display next to the name of the handout.
7. Press Save to complete.
How to Upload Handouts to the Live Webinar Room
Hosts can also upload handouts to sessions while they are in progress, following these steps.
1. Locate the interactive panel (that hosts all Q&A, Chat, Polls and Handouts) on the right side of the live room. Within this panel, select the Handouts tab.
2. If you haven’t already uploaded a handout to the session, select Share a Handout or the Manage Handouts link, located at the bottom of the Handouts window.
3. In the Handouts Menu, select Share a Link.
From there, use the subsequent prompts to design and customize your handout:

5. Handout Link: Enter the link to your handout here.
6. Handout Icon: Upload an image to display next to the name of the handout.
7. Press Save to complete.
