Handouts on BigMarker: Share Resources with Your Audience

Upload, manage, and distribute handouts during your BigMarker webinar or event to enhance attendee engagement and deliver valuable content.

Still using the classic admin? Click here to learn where  you can find handouts.

Handouts are a great way to share supplemental materials like PDFs, slides, worksheets, or guides directly with your attendees on BigMarker. Whether you're providing a downloadable resource during a live session or offering materials ahead of time, handouts help keep your audience engaged and informed. In this article, we’ll explain how handouts work on BigMarker, including how to upload, manage, and share them with your attendees.

To create and manage your pre-loaded polls using the Session Admin, go to Content > Pre-loaded content. And then to the Resources tab.

Handouts and resources can be any file you want to share with your audience. Various file types are supported, and also you have the ability to simply share a URL as a handout or resource. Click on the plus button in this page to add a new handout.

To learn more about pre-loading any handouts before your webinar or event, visit our article on pre-loading materials here

If you've pre-loaded handouts, when an attendee enters the webinar room, they'll be alerted to their existence by the appearance of a green dot next to Handouts in their chat panel.

From here, an attendee can click into Handouts to access what's been pre-loaded. In this instance, it's a PDF.

An attendee can choose to download the PDF by clicking on the second icon beneath the title of the handout, or they can choose to view it within the window of the webinar by clicking on the eye icon.

This view allows attendees to toggle between pages, zoom in, download, print and more.

It is also possible for an admin or presenter to upload or edit content during a live webinar. To start, toggle over to the chat panel and select Handouts. From here, you'll see a list of pre-loaded handouts. You can choose to manage the handouts line by line and you can select Manage Handouts at the bottom of the panel to upload new content in real-time.

There are several different features for each handout.

Preview: A PDF viewer will appear in the webinar room, similar to the one that appears for attendees with the same functionality. This is a great option if you want to preview how a handout will look to attendees before you share any new content.

Unshare / Share: You can choose to unshare a pre-loaded handout, or share a newly uploaded handout with the audience. When you upload a new handout to the webinar room in real-time, it does not get automatically shared with attendees. You'll need to select the Share button in order for the content to be accessible.

Delete: Choose to delete the handout from the webinar completely. This will remove the handout from the attendee view and the admin view.

Download: Download a PDF version of the handout to your device.

Edit: Edit the handout name and icon.

Pin: Pin an important handout to the top of the chat panel so that the audience sees that particular handout immediately. This looks something like the below:

To un-pin, simply X out of the pinned handout at the top of the chat panel. The pinned handout will disappear from the audience's chat panel, and you can choose to pin another handout later on. This is a great option when you have multiple speakers with separate worksheets or resources specific to their presentation. Pin the current speaker's resources during their presentation to draw attention to their content.

When your webinar has ended, you'll be able to see how your audience interacted with your handouts. In the Analytics section of the session admin you'll be able to download a report for your handouts. This will tell you which attendee downloaded which handout, along with timestamps for each interaction.
