How to Configure your Treasury and Choose your Preferred Payment Processor

For sessions and events you can enable paid registration. Use these settings to manage how those payments are processed.

For any session, series, or event, you can charge attendees a registration fee. If you don't want to use BigMarker's payment processing, you have the ability to add a number of different services to your channel.

    How to Set Up your Payment Processor

    Visit your channel's settings and visit the Treasury settings. Here you will find the settings to configure each one of the available payment processors as well as your channel's transaction history.

     

    Important: if you need to use currencies other than USD, then you will need to connect your own Stripe account

    BigMarker Payment Processing

    The default method of processing payments will be using BigMarker. Revenue collected using BigMarker Payment Processing will appear in your Treasury Balance 14 days after the transaction occurs. Each transaction includes a 7.5% processing fee.

    Transferring these funds out of BigMarker requires a PayPal account and a minimum balance of $20.00 USD. Fees charged by PayPal will be deducted during transfer and are based on your personal PayPal account and are independent of BigMarker's fee and can vary. Please check your PayPal account for additional information. 

     


     

    Authorize.net Payment Processing

    Instead of using BigMarker, you can connect your Authorize.net account to your channel. All paid registrations will now go through Authoirze.net. Managing the transactions and applied fees are all done through your Authorize.net account, but the list of transactions will still appear in this page on BigMarker.

    Click on the Authorize.net option, add in your account information, and click save.

    Stripe Payment Processing

    Instead of using BigMarker, you can connect your Stripe account to your channel. All paid registrations will now go through Stripe. Managing the transactions and applied fees are all done through your Stripe account, but the list of transactions will still appear in this page on BigMarker.

    To connect your account, find and paste in your Stripe Secret API Key and Published API Key

    With Stripe you can choose other currencies besides the US dollar. You also have additional settings such as asking for billing address information, or using registration fields as Stripe Metadata.

    At the bottom, you will see the balance in your Treasury that is ready to be withdrawn and transferred. For BigMarker payments, you will need to contact your BigMarker Representative to begin the withdrawal process.

    Transaction History

    At the very bottom of the Treasury page, you can view a history of all the transactions. It will show the date, amount, state of the transaction (paid, refunded, voided), description of the payment, and the processor type

    You can download a report that will contain your channels' transactions, with the first name, last name, email address, amount, description, date and processor listed. Click Download Treasury to review the transaction history.
