Create Linked & Dependent Polls

Utilize Polls in a new, connected way during your next webinar or event.

Until now, all Polls during a webinar have been independent from one another, and there was no way to connect them. With this most recent update to our Polls feature, you will see new options when creating a poll.

To create a poll and learn more about Polls during and before a webinar, read through our guide here

Once you've created your polls, you'll see the first new option is: Display this poll immediately after another poll. When this setting is on, you’ll see a new dropdown to select an already existing poll. Once this is set, the newly created poll will show to your attendees immediately proceeding the first poll.

Additionally, you have the option to make this second poll dependent on the first. Similar to how this is set up for registration fields and survey answers, attendees have to input a specific answer in order to see the linked poll.

In this example, we've created a poll question: How did you hear about us? With multiple choice answers, one of the answers being "Other." Then, we created a second poll question: If Other, please explain below. In the settings of the second poll question, we have selected Display this poll immediately after another poll and chose the first poll question in the dropdown menu.

In order to see the linked poll, we have selected the setting Only show based on answer from previous poll, and input the value "Other."

Save the poll. You'll see in your polls menu the linked polls reflected.
