Refunding is an important part of offering paid webinars and events, and BigMarker makes it simple and straightforward to process refunds quickly. **Important**: The ability to process refunds is hidden by default. To allow your channel admins to process refunds look for the [setting in your channel](https://kb.bigmarker.com/knowledge/what-are-my-channels-features?hsLang=en) for **"Allow channel admins to process refunds"** **![](https://kb.bigmarker.com/hs-fs/hubfs/image-png-Mar-25-2025-04-06-09-7296-PM.png?width=335&height=129&name=image-png-Mar-25-2025-04-06-09-7296-PM.png)** ### How to give a registrant a refund When you have a webinar, series or event with [paid registration](https://kb.bigmarker.com/knowledge/how-do-i-make-money-hosting-webinars-on-bigmarker?hsLang=en), you can refund any registrant that has paid.  Refunding a registrant does not automatically cancel the registrant. A refunded registrant still has access to the content, and in order to cancel their registration you'll need to do so separately. #### Refunding registrants for a webinar or series To refund a registrant using the webinar dashboard, go to **Basic Setup \> Registration List, **then click on any registrant. Go to the **Session Log** tab and look for the payment information to see the option to refund the registrant. You'll get the same popup as described above after clicking **Refund**. ![](https://kb.bigmarker.com/hs-fs/hubfs/image-png-Feb-04-2026-04-02-54-7306-PM.png?width=525&height=228&name=image-png-Feb-04-2026-04-02-54-7306-PM.png) If you are using the classic admin for a session or a series go to the **Manage Registrations** section and find the user you are looking for. Click **view** to expand their details, then scroll down to the bottom to view the refund option. ![](https://kb.bigmarker.com/hs-fs/hubfs/image-png-Mar-25-2025-04-01-11-8139-PM.png?width=660&height=129&name=image-png-Mar-25-2025-04-01-11-8139-PM.png) Once you click on this option, you'll see an option for change the amount they will be refunded. The amount will default to the original price that was paid, and you can change this amount for a partial refund: ![](https://kb.bigmarker.com/hs-fs/hubfs/image-png-Mar-25-2025-04-02-31-6683-PM.png?width=670&height=235&name=image-png-Mar-25-2025-04-02-31-6683-PM.png) Once a user has been refunded, the user will be sent the refund email if it is configured.
