Registration check is a powerful and important feature for for your events, and a way to make access seamless for your registrants across all your connected content.
Registration check is a way to share access from one webinar or series to another without actually moving or importing the registration data. The registration list stays in one place and a registrant will have access to other content based on the registration check.
Begin on a webinar landing page within a series where you don't have any registrants. On the webinar landing page, select Edit at the top of the screen, and scroll down until you reach Registration Check under Advanced Settings.
Here, you'll find a multi-select dropdown field, where you can select any series or webinar that's on the same channel. When you first open this menu, it will show your available series only. Typically, use people registration check to link series exclusively, but if you want to include webinars, just select the link below the dropdown box: Update Registration Check to Include Webinars.
From here, select the webinar or series you'd like to include in the check and Save Changes.
For ease of use, it is recommended to have auto-enter enabled for your registrants on webinars you'd like to include in the registration check, so they are automatically ferried into the webinar page when they use their personalized link.
The attendee journey will look something like the below once the registration check is complete:
1. Attendee will register or login to the event using their personalized link.
2. Attendee will automatically be taken to a landing page that you have registration checked
3. Attendee will immediately be able to watch the video (on-demand webinar) or join the live webinar.
Once a registrant enters into the live room of a registration checked webinar, they will be added to the list of registration for that webinar. Registration check allows this process to be seamless and easy, both for the registrant and the webinar admin.
A similar experience is possible with an on-demand webinar. The set-up steps are the same as above, however, there is no auto-enter for an on-demand webinar, so registration check allows registrants access to the video player, which would be locked for non-registrants. In this case, registration data is saved as soon as the registrant starts watching the video.
For events and other platforms, there may be several different landing pages and series included in it. In these platforms, you'll have a main registration list that all registrants are added to, then additional pages that will have registration checks back to that main series.
For sessions and webinars that are a part of an event, they may not be directly linked to that main series and instead be attached to an agenda series. Because of this the registrations will not automatically be shared into the sessions. When you set up your registration checks, you'll want to make sure that your event-wide sessions have a registration check to the main series of the event or platform
In the dropdown, you'll notice that there is only one item that has the tag "Main Registration List." Only one series will be designated as your main list on BigMarker, and that tag is applied appropriately, to help you navigate while you're applying your registration check.
