[Click here](https://kb.bigmarker.com/knowledge/use-automatic-data-deletion-to-schedule-the-removal-of-all-registration-and-attendee-data#session_admin) to learn where you can find the automatic data deletion settings. Some organizations have requirements for how long your registrants' data can be kept on BigMarker and other platforms. Instead of manually removing data or having to completely delete a webinar or event, it's now easy to dynamically, you now have the ability to schedule exactly when that data will be removed.  Data that is deleted with this setting **can not be recovered**. Use caution when enabling this for any session or series. To find the settings for automatic deletion, head to **Privacy & Legal \> Privacy Settings**. It will be the last setting at the bottom of this page. ![](https://kb.bigmarker.com/hs-fs/hubfs/image-png-Jan-22-2026-06-08-26-9185-PM.png?width=600&height=294&name=image-png-Jan-22-2026-06-08-26-9185-PM.png) When you enable this setting, there will be additional configurations to consider. You need to decide on a **Retention time**. This is the number of days you will keep the data before it is deleted. This will either be a number of days **after**: - The live webinar ends - Someone registers for an on-demand webinar - The end time of the series Additionally there will be a confirmation field, where you need to match the text in order to save the setting. ![](https://kb.bigmarker.com/hs-fs/hubfs/image-png-May-21-2026-02-23-39-7492-PM.png?width=600&height=237&name=image-png-May-21-2026-02-23-39-7492-PM.png) Once saved, you will see a notification banner across all pages of the session admin, letting all admin users know about the data deletion. The webinar or series creator will also receive an email notification from BigMarker that the automatic data deletion has been turned on. ![](https://kb.bigmarker.com/hs-fs/hubfs/image-png-Jan-22-2026-06-14-03-1474-PM.png?width=600&height=82&name=image-png-Jan-22-2026-06-14-03-1474-PM.png) After enabling auto deletion, this setting is not saved for any copies made from templates or other webinars/series. It must be enabled individually for each piece of content created. ### Automatic Data Deletion in the Classic Admin To find the data deletion settings, go to the **edit tab** of the [webinar dashboard](https://kb.bigmarker.com/knowledge/the-manage-webinar-dashboard?hsLang=en), look on the left-hand side for **Auto Data Deletion**.
