Translate your sessions into any language with AI Translation

Welcome a global audience to your virtual session with AI translation into any language

When promoting and producing your content, you want to make sure you reach as many people as people, and that they can all get something out of it. With BigMarker AI Translations, you are able to have your presenters speak in their native language while your audience can listen to it in their own.

Before you enable AI translation, it's good to keep a few things in mind:

  • This feature is only available for webcast webinars and only attendees can listen to the translated audio.
  • Presenters must all be speaking the same language in order to be translated
  • AI translation may add a small amount of time to the webcast delay

These settings are only available with an enterprise license. Contact sales@bigmarker.com or your customer success manager for more information.

Enabling AI Translation

In the webinar dashboard, visit the Edit tab. From here you'll first need to turn on closed captions. Once you do this you'll want to configure a few settings that will appear:

  • Original Language - The language that your presenters or automated content will be speaking
  • Display Language - The options that attendees will have to choose from
  • Audio Translation - Finally, actually enabling translation alongside the captions

This is all you will need to do to enable AI Translations. From here your presenters will connect to your live webinar as normal, and your attendees will get the opportunity to translate inside of the default and modular webinar rooms.

The attendee experience

With all of this enabled, all of your attendees will now have access to the AI Translation. In the webinar room, they'll see a button for Languages. Clicking on this will open up a dropdown menu where they can select a language. Once a language is chosen, the video stream will refresh, now with captions and audio translation ongoing over the original content.
