When you use a webinar and series template, most of what you can configure is copied over to your new session or series: - Most settings found on the [webinar dashboard](https://kb.bigmarker.com/knowledge/the-manage-webinar-dashboard?hsLang=en) - [registration fields](https://kb.bigmarker.com/knowledge/how-to-create-custom-registration-fields-for-your-virtual-events?hsLang=en), [confirmation page](https://kb.bigmarker.com/knowledge/how-to-customize-the-confirmation-page?hsLang=en), [waiting room](https://kb.bigmarker.com/knowledge/waiting-room-settings?hsLang=en), [recording player settings,](https://kb.bigmarker.com/knowledge/customize-the-on-demand-webinar-player-before-your-event-goes-live?hsLang=en) pre-loaded content and more. - Integration settings - Automation settings and timeline - Emails and invitations - Presenter list - Advanced settings in the **Edit** tab When you create a new webinar or series from a template, the entire presenter list will receive the presenter notification email if it is enabled. There are some things that are not created from a template, and will be configured for any new creation: - Title and duration - Registration list - Video file used for on-demands - Recurring webinar cadences - Evergreen and recurring child sessions - Webinars added to series Lastly, it's important to remember that templates do not have a functional start and end time. Because of this, landing page and email previews that contain the webinar/series start time may appear incorrectly. ### **How to create a template** You can either create a template from scratch or by copying an existing webinar or series. If you are starting from scratch, head over to your channel settings and look for **Webinar Templates** in the left navigation. Click on **Create Session Template.** After confirming, a template will be created that uses all of the same settings as the series or session you are currently looking at. **![](https://kb.bigmarker.com/hs-fs/hubfs/image-png-May-20-2026-09-25-38-1856-PM.png?width=600&height=146&name=image-png-May-20-2026-09-25-38-1856-PM.png)** ### **How to use the template to create a session or series** When you go to create a new session or series, there will be a setting that allows you to choose a template: . **Copy from Template**. In this dropdown will be all of he available templates that you can choose from. Here you have options to edit and delete any of these templates.
