Can I do a Test Run of my Virtual Event Before it Goes Live?

Capture the look, feel, and flow of your Virtual Event before it begins, to fully prepare beforehand as well as hammer out any last minute details as needed

Note: Currently, this feature is reserved only for Event Package plan holders. If interested, please contact our Events Experts at sales@bigmarker.com

When you create and design your event on BigMarker, it is imperative to be able to experience the event as an attendee. Whether you want to see the virtual experience, or to make sure certain types of registrants have a specific experience, you can use test attendees and test sessions to achieve this.

Be sure to test attendee experiences in an incognito/private window, or a browser that is not logged in to your BigMarker account. Using a personal link of a test registrant may log you out of BigMarker if you don't do this.

How to Assign Registrants as Test Roles

On your Main Series dashboard, click Manage Series Registrations.

Click View on the right side of any registrant, and check off the box Test Registrant

Now, these registrants will be able to view and test the flow of the Virtual Event without impacting the live production of the Virtual Event. Copy this registrant's personal link to enter into the event as them.

How to Test the Check-In Process for Your Virtual Event

After you have set up your check-in for your event, you can use your test attendee to look through these pages. By default, when you enable check-in, registrants will see this every time they log in to the evet, so you should see this right away.

How to Test the Top Navigation for Your Virtual Event

For your test attendees, they will see all of the links in the header navigation of your event. This includes any links that are supposed to be viewable by certain ticket holders or other segments of your registrants.

How to Test the Agenda for Your Virtual Event

Within your event agenda, you can set certain sessions as test sessions. With these sessions enabled, test attendees can log in and enter into the virtual test sessions. All other registrants will not see the test sessions on their agenda, and will not be able to enter into the live webinar room.
This makes test sessions very useful for when you have already opened registration and need to continue to test.
When creating or editing any session in your agenda, look for the checkbox setting for Test Session. Check this on and save to mark this session as a test session
